Hello, everyone! My name is Robert Turner, but most folks in the industry know me as ‘Bobby T.’ I’m thrilled to share with you my experiences and insights as a seasoned tobacco expert with over 30 years under my belt.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with several prominent companies in the tobacco industry throughout my career. Early on, I honed my skills at Philip Morris International, where I led a team focused on enhancing product quality. Following that, I had a fantastic stint at British American Tobacco, working closely with their product development team. During my tenure there, we successfully launched several popular tobacco blends that are still adored by enthusiasts around the globe.

Some of my career highlights include winning the ‘Tobacco Specialist of the Year’ award at the prestigious Global Tobacco & Nicotine Forum (GTNF) in 2021 and the ‘Innovation Award’ at the World Tobacco Awards in 2023. Those recognitions were affirmations of my dedication and hard work in this complex industry.

Currently, I reside in the beautiful and vibrant country of Australia, where I serve as a consultant for various start-ups aiming to create a mark in the tobacco industry. Being in the ‘Land Down Under’ has opened up a whole new perspective towards tobacco cultivation and its diverse use in our society.

My passion extends beyond my professional life. I enjoy gardening, which not only provides me a breather but also helps me understand tobacco cultivation at a grassroots level. I’m an avid reader too, mostly delving into books on agriculture, business strategies, and occasionally, a good mystery novel for that adrenaline rush.
